I enjoy fly fishing, kayaking, playing guitar and piano, and traveling. The biggest challenge I face with students is convincing them that they CAN solve the problem. Mathematics is a toolbox full of tools. I always tell students that they are not being asked to solve any problems that haven't been solve a million times already by a million students with a million perspectives! My math teacher was incredible and I try to approach students with the same enthusiasm.
